These countries would defend Ukraine if the gloves came off. They are already sharing their high end equipment with Ukraine. Trump throwing a fit will not stop them. France, Germany and Italy are thinking of doing the same. That is 2 nuclear powers.
Joining NATO as it is yes for now. Being considered protected under article 5 by all the other members no.
